The Donahue Collection of Clematis
	`BEES JUBILEE: Delicate pink with deep red bar down the middle of each petal with yellow anthers. Does not fade in the sun, blooms May, June and September.

	`ELSA SPATH: Rich lavender, overlapping to give somewhat of a double appearance. Red Anthers. Very free flowering.

	`HAGLEY HYBRID: Medium-size rich pink flowers with ruffly edges and reddish anthers. Vigorous grower with 5-6" flowers blooming June and September.

	`HENRYI: Very large pure white flowers with brown anthers. Blooms June and September. Beautiful!

	`NIOBE: Very dark ruby-red pointed petals with gold anthers. Blooms June, August and September. A true red!

	`THE PRESIDENT: Deep purple with purple anthers. Continuous bloomer and does not fade in the sun. Large 7-8" flowers bloom June-September.

	`AVANT-GARDE ^TM EVIPO033: As the name suggests, a very unusual 3", red flower with pink petaloid stamens giving the impression of a double flower and protruding trumpet. Very free flowering. Blooms July-September.

	`BONANZA ^TM EVIPO031: Very free flowering mauve/blue flowers will pale yellow anthers. Flowers are 3" in size and bloom July-September.

	`GALORE ^TM EVIPO032: Very free flowering purple flowers will yellow anthers. Flowers are 3" in size and bloom July-September.

	`ASAO: 4-5" deep rosy-pink flower with white center bar on each petal. Very free flowering in spring with attractive seed heads. An outstanding Clematis from Japan.

	BARBARA JACKMAN: Pale blue petals with a deep red bar down the center of each petal. Showy yellow anthers. Suitable for a cut flower. Best color produced out of strong sunlight. Blooms June and August.

	Beth Currie Overlapping plum-purple petals have a crimson central bar and reddish-cream anthers. Flowers are 4-5" in size. Blooms May-June and August.

	`CARNABY: Pink with rich red bar down the middle of each petal. Dark red anthers. Blooms June and September.

	CHARISSIMA: The large 6-7" pointed flowers are cerise in color with deeper colored veins throughout the flower. The anthers are red. Blooms June and July.

	`DR. RUPPEL: From Argentina. Pink ruffly edge petals with deep red center bar. Blooms May, June and September.

	Fireworks Spectacular blue with a red bar down each petal. Petals are somewhat twisted giving a pinewheel effect. Red anthers. Blooms early and late summer. Stunning!

	JOHN WARREN: Dark red edge and center bar on french-grey base and red anthers. 6-8" flowers and we have found it to be very free flowering.

	KING EDWARD VII: Attractive 6" lilac flower with a pink bar. Suitable as a cut flower. Ideal for container. Blooms June and August.

	`LINCOLN STAR: Raspberry-red with light edge petals. Very large pointed flower with dark red anthers. Blooms May, June and September.

	`NELLY MOSER: Pale pink with red bar down the middle of each petal. Blooms June and September.

	`SCARTHO GEM: Bright pink with deeper pink bar. Large 4-5" open flowers. Compact free flowering plant. Blooms May-June and August. Ideal for a container.

	`VITICELLA, VENOSA VIOLACEA: 4-5" flowers of white background with purple veins throughout, turning all purple on the edges. Very distinctive variety that we are sure will become a real popular variety. Blooms July and August.

	Alabast^TM 'Poulala' (PPAF) A large 5-6" creamy green open flower with yellow anthers. An attractive round shape flower. Does well in shady area out of full sun. Blooms May-June, and August.

	Anna-Louise^TM 'Evithree' (P.P. 9,362) (PPAF) Anna-Louise is outstanding in color. It produces 5-6" violet flowers with a contrasting red/purple bar and anthers. Growing approximately 8-10 feet, it blooms in late May-June and August-September.

	Arctic Queen^TM 'Evitwo' (PPAF) An outstanding new fully double clematis, both on old and current season's growth. The clear creamy-white flowers have creamy-yellow anthers. It has the strongest habit of any double clematis and it is very free flowering. Ideal for a container in the patio garden. Flowers, 4-6" across. Blooms May-August.

	Barbara Harrington^TM An exceptional late, free flowering plant. Raised from clematis Comtesse de Bouchard and retaining its parent's ability to flower well over a long period. The cerise colored flowers, approximately 4" in size, have pointed petals with a dark border and contrasting yellow anthers. Due to its free flowering habit it can be used in many garden locations. It is superb when grown with wall trained climbing and rambling roses. Blooms late June through Sept.

	Blue Ravine A very strong growing plant, which flowers well in early summer and the autumn. Large 7-8" wide flowers. The lilac blue color is suffused with pinkish mauve, good well-formed flowers with overlapping petals on the early summer flowers. The late summer flowers have more pointed petals, being smaller and more star-like in appearance. Contrasting red anthers. Blooms June, July and late August. Introduced in 1999-2001.

	'Bonanza^TM EVIPO031 Very free flowering mauve/blue flowers will pale yellow anthers. Flowers are 3" in size and bloom July-September.

	'Bourbon^TM EVIPO18 (N) Stunningly vibrant 5-6" red flowers with contrasting yellow anthers. Ideal plant for container growing as its height is 4-6'. Blooms June- early August.

	Clair de lune^TM 'Evirin' An Evison/Poulsen cultivar raised by Raymond J. Evison is a compact free-flowering plant suitable for any position in the garden. The flowers retain their color best in a shady area. The flowers are 6-7" and have a base color of white which is suffused with pale lilac becoming darker at the edge of the eight wavy petals. Flowers have stunning dark anthers. Blooms June, July and late August.

	Crystal Fountain^TM 'Evipo038' This is an early large flowered cultivar, lilac blue with a fountain like center. It is an exciting new cultivar with an unusual 4-5' double flower. It is compact, free and repeat flowering, also suitable for growing in a container, on trellises as well as through small shrubs. Blooms June-September.

	Empress^TM 'Evipo011 (N)' Large double flower with pink outer petals that have a darker pink bar. The inner petals produce a spiky pom-pom effect. Suitable for containers. Blooms May-June & August. Height 6'

	Florida Sieboldii Spectacular blue with a red bar down each petal. Petals are somewhat twisted giving a pinewheel effect. Red anthers. Blooms early and late summer. Stunning!

	Franziska Maria^TM 'Evipo 008 (N)' Very free flowering, compact double clematis. This double clematis far outperforms any other double clematis currently available. It produces the most beautifully shaped double flowers ever, in both old and new growth. It has many flowers per stem and has good foliage. The 4-6" blue/puple flowers with yellow anthers are full and follow a repeat flowering pattern lasting throughout the summer to early autumn. It is ideal for growing in a container. Blooms June through September.

	'Galore^TM EVIPO032 Very free flowering purple flowers will yellow anthers. Flowers are 3" in size and bloom July-September.

	Hyde Hall^TM 'Evipo 009 (N)' This compact clematis is ideal for growing in a container for the patio. It's flowers are off-white with sometimes green or pink tinges to the petals and they are 5-7" in diameter. It blooms on the previous season's stems from May to June. The anthers are light chocolate brown.

	Ice Blue^TM 'Evipo003' The 6-7" flowers are white with a tinge of blue when it first opens with a yellow center. It flowers well and it works well for a container with a mature height of 5-6' Blooms May-June and September.

	Josephine^TM 'Evijohil' Flowers have 6-8 base petals which are almost bronze, tinged with green and a darker bar. Inner petals are lilac with pink bar. As the flower ages the base petals fall away giving a pompom effect. Best if planted in sun. Blooms June through August.

	Kilian Donahue The early flowers open ruby red at the center of the flower fading to brilliant fuchsia and then orchid color at the edge of each petal. The flowers fade to lavendar with a pink bar. It almost appears as two clematis planted together since two varying flowers bloom at the same time. Its dancing white anthers are burgundy tipped. It is an eraly bloomer and great repeat bloomer throughout the summer months. This is Mark Donahue's first clematis introduction.

	Kingfisher ^TM 'Evipo037 (N)' An Evison/Poulsen cultivar which has very large intense blue flowers that are offset by creamy/yellow anthers. It is exceptionally free-flowering. Blooms June-July & Late August. Height 6-8', pruning type 2.

	Liberation^TM 'Evifive' (PPAF) A 1995 introduction named to commemorate the 50th year of liberation of the Channel Islands. Liberation is a large 5-6" deep pink flower with a broad cerise central bar with contrasting yellow anthers. Blooms May-June and August-September. Free flowering and strong growing. Introduced in 1998.

	Petit Faucon^TM 'Evisix' (PPAF) A stunning new non-clinging clematis with bronze green new foliage. A most free flowering compact plant for the mixed border. The intense deep blue four petal flowers reveal an orange, yellow center as they age. Blooms June-September. Very hardy!

	Rebecca^TM 'Evipo016 (N)' An Evison/Poulsen cultivar that is very large with stunningly bright red (almost scarlet) flowers with creamyyellow anthers. It is exceptionally free-flowering. Blooms May-June & August. Height 6-8', pruning type 2.

	Rosemoor^TM 'Evipo 002 (N)' This rose colored large flowered clematis has a distinct reddish/purple color with yellow anthers, which contrast spectacularly with the color of the petals. It's flowes are 5-6" in diameter and bloom on both the previous season's stems and on current season's growth, giving it a flowering period from May to September. The volume of flowers it produces over such a long period of time is rather staggering.

	Royal Velvet^TM 'Evifour' (P.P. 9,299) A very good, free flowering plant in nursery production. Royal Velvet is a compact plant which grows to approximately 8 feet. It produces rich velvet purple 4-5" flowers with red anthers and blooms May-June and August-September. Introduced in 1996.

	Sugar Candy^TM 'Evione' (P.P. 10,222) A striking cultivar which is free flowering both in the spring and late summer. Large 6-7" flowers with pinkish mauve pointed petals which have a darker center bar. Contrasting yellow anthers with pinkish grey filaments. Blooms May-September. Introduced in 1997.

	Victor Hugo:^TM 'Evipo 007 (N)' Very free flowering, violet colored 3" flowers with 4-6 petals and dark violet tipped anthers. Its non-clinging habit is very vigorous. It is an ideal plant for growing iwth climbing roses. Blooms June - Sept.

	Vino^TM 'Poulvo' (P.P. 9,290) A stunning colored flower which is suitable as a cut flower. Vino grows up to 9 feet and blooms May-June and August. Petunia red with creamy yellow anthers, the flowers are 6" in size.
The plant's strong, compact growing habit and free flowering nature make it a fine Clematis for the smaller garden. Introduced in 1996.

Donahue's Blue Varieties of Clematis
	`ASCOTIENSIS: Very large deep blue flowering Clematis. Blooms June and August. A real winner!

	`BELLE OF WOKING: Fully double light blue rosette shaped flower, blooming May, June and September.

	`BLUE ANGEL: Raised by Brother Stefan Franczak in Poland. The pale lavender blue flowers have delicate crinkly edges and recurve slightly. Anthers are creamy-yellow. Very free flowering and holds well as a cut flower. Blooms June through August.

	COUNTESS OF LOVELACE: Early summer flowers are 5" semi-double to double flowers that are pale lavender in color. Late summer flowers are single. Blooms June, July and late August. Suitable for container culture.

	`DURANDII: Rich bell-shaped indigo-blue 5-6" flowers with white anthers. It makes an interesting cut flower. Blooms July, August and September.

	EDOUARD DESFOSSE: Pale blue, 4" open flowers. Very compact free flowering plant, ideal for a container. Attractive seed heads. Blooms May-June.

	H. F. YOUNG: True mid-blue with very wide overlapping petals; giving a very large 7-8" flower. Very noticeable cream-colored anthers and very free flowering.

	`KEN DONSON: Very deep blue 6-7" flowers with yellow anthers. June and August/September blooming.

	`LOUISE ROWE: Plant produces pale blue fading to white, 5-6" semi-double and single flowers. It is suitable as a cut flower and for containers. Blooms June-September.

	`MRS. CHOLMONDELEY: Very large true blue prolific blooming Clematis. Blooms May, June and September.

	MRS. P. B. TRUAX: Periwinkle blue 5" flowers with contrasting yellow anthers. Blooms May, June and September.<

	Perl D´ Azur An old variety but very much sought after. We are finally able to offer this true blue clematis. The flowers are semi nodding and bloom July through August. This free flowering variety has pale yellow anthers.

	PRINCE CHARLES: A compact plant with profuse mauve-blue 4" flowers. The flowers are semi nodding with slightly twisted petals. The anthers are yellow. Blooms July thru early September.

	`RAMONA: Lavender-blue flower with dark anthers. Blooms July, August and September. One of our best selling varieties!

	Ruby Glow: A free flowering variety which produces ruby rose flowers with a red center. Ruby Glow blooms heavy in June continuing on through late August. It has 5-6" very full flowers with the plant growing to approximately 8 feet in height.

	SILVER MOON: Very Large 7-8" silver-mauve flowers, giving a most unusual color clematis. Blooms throughout the summer with a very long blooming time. Does well in full to partial shade.

	SPECIAL OCCASION: The 4-5" wide, round flowers are plae blue and lighter in the center of each petal with dark anthers. Blooms June - July.

	VYVYAN PENNELL: One of the most outstanding double varieties. The 6-8" double flowers are purple-mauve on the outside petals and rosy-lavender to lilac on the inner petals. Blooms late June thru early August.

	`WILL GOODWIN: True blue with large overlapping petals and gold anthers. June through September blooming.

	WILLIAM KENNETT: Large lavender-blue ruffly edged petals & dark purple anthers. June through September blooming.
